This is not a post about purchasing a home.

Or updating a home.

Or all the expenses no one tells you that come along with home ownership.

It’s about being able to come home at 1130P and putting a load of laundry in.

It’s about being able to vacuum at 9P if needing to.

We purchased our home almost 15 years ago. It’s been 15 years since we shared walls while living in an apartment. 15 years since I had to do our laundry at a laundromat. That’s my daughter’s entire life. And I have yet to forget how inconvenient it was living in an apartment.

There are definitely moments where I can say owning a home is not for everyone. But in the moments where I am unable to get things done around the house during normal business hours… it’s nice to be able to do it at odd hours without disturbing any neighbors. 🖤
